I have mixed emotions about this size 14 dress from Warehouse. It was December and I wasn’t going through the best time of my life, I was struggling in a stressful job and had been over eating and not taking care of myself. In that year my weight ballooned and I found myself struggling to fit into any of my suits. When details circulated of the work Christmas party my stomach was in knots – I had nothing that I could fit into and no money to buy something new. I ended up using my overdraft to purchase this dress that I could just about zip up. I spent the evening feeling uncomfortable. This moment gave me the push I needed to lose weight and invest in myself. I lost two and a half stone and started weight training. The party . . . the dress . . . it was just the start of a better time yet to come.
