“A marker of hope”

I bought this dress in my twenties in a charity shop in Plymouth. Although it’s an eighties dress, I thought it had a 1920s vibe and longed to wear it to Burgh Island Hotel. It’s stayed in my wardrobe unworn for nearly twenty years. It doesn’t fit me, I think it’s stayed there as a marker of hope and a reminder of that young women with her head of dreams. But I don’t need to cling onto things now to remind me of her.

I hope whoever wears this has an absolute ball.
